A few years ago I went to visit a friend out of state for the weekend. On the first morning after I arrived, I was getting dressed and ready for the day when I realized to my horror that I had forgotten my makeup bag at home! I sat there for a minute shocked at the fact that I had done this. I had my friend’s wedding shower to attend and various other meetings in preparation for the wedding and I needed my face! Otherwise, being without makeup wouldn’t have been that big of a deal. I’m not one of those girls who won’t leave the house without makeup on.

I ended up coming up with a quick solution. I always carry eyeliner, powder and lip balm in my purse for touch ups during the day. This is what I ended up using all weekend. I wasn’t about to go spend money on concealer, mascara, shadow..ect.  I really wished I had concealer because I have dark circles under my eyes, but I was happy that at least I had the powder. Long story short, I got away with only 3 products all weekend.

So, if you were in an unexpected bind like I was, or stranded on a deserted island, or whatever the situation may be…what 3 must have makeup products would you require to help you feel more put together?

I would choose…

Lipbalm- No need for lipstick. As long as your lips are hydrated they will appear supple and youthful.

ChapStick Moisturizer with SPF 15

Eyeliner-Eyeliner is my personal staple makeup item. It defines eyes and can double as a shadow when smudged and blended.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in "Zero"

Concealer- Cover dark under eye circles, blemishes and any other kind of skin discoloration or flaw.

MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer

It was very hard for me to choose between concealer and bronzer for my 3rd product.  While bronzer wakes up the skin and gives your face dimension and can double as blush, I would rather have no under eye circles or blemishes than a sun kissed glow, if I had to choose.

These are my own personal preferences and all women have their own go to products that they can’t live without. What would you choose if you had only 3 beauty products you could grab in a bind?
