It was a big decision for me whether or not to purchase this palette. #1, my New Year’s resolution was to only buy things I need with occasional purchases of quality items. The quality items part stems back to my whole dilemma of quality vs. quantity. #2, how am I to justify buying more eye shadow, let alone more neutral shades?

The Urban Decay Naked Pallet 2 has been all the rage and is not available in Sephora till the end of January. I was told by a Sephora employee yesterday that there is a waiting list for this product and it probably won’t even hit the shelf since it’s in such high demand. The Urban Decay website is currently out of stock but you can purchase it on the Sephora website.

I was at the mall yesterday and visited Sephora and then randomly wandered into JC Penney afterwords to take a quick peek in the Sephora which they have inside JCPenney. I ended up finding a display of Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 and displayed above it was the Naked Palette 2!! There was only one left so I picked it up. While looking at the tester palette, the woman who worked there came up to me and said, I was holding the last one!! So what did I do? I bought it of course!!

Since this is one of those items that so many people are after and it’s currently somewhat of a challenge to get your hands on, it makes the whole idea of obtaining it all the more desirable. So sad how human nature makes us like this! Oh well!! I know I will get a lot of use out of this palette.

I have heard that some people wish there were more matte shades or the shimmer factor was brought down a level or two. What are your thoughts on this product and how do you compare it with the original palette?
